Free or Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program
Our organization is working toward the day when no healthy, adoptable animals die because there is no home for them. We have spay/neuter programs to help most families who live in Western North Carolina.
FREE Program for Henderson County Residents
Henderson County residents with a household income of less than $35,000/year can call the Henderson County Animal Shelter at (828) 697-4723 for information about their FREE program.
Local Veterinarian Program for Henderson County Residents
Vouchers are $15 for cats and $25 for dogs and includes a free rabies vaccination at the time of the pet's surgery.
Henderson County residents can purchase a voucher to use any of the local veterinarians listed below:

- Dr. Kevin Matthews - Saluda Veterinarian Hospital
- Dr. Kevin McKisson - All Saints Animal Hospital
- Dr. Jonathan Pernell - Laurel Park Animal Hospital
- Dr. Carrie Carman/Dr. Scott Stevenson - Animal Care Clinic*
*note: they only do surgeries for their existing clients
